Disclaimer: I’m not very good, when it comes to writing about myself. Give me some incredibly random, abstract topic and I’ll ramble on for pages. But ask me to talk about the one thing in this whole world about which I know more than anyone else? No, sir. But I can at least give it an honest try.

My name is Adam Sterling, I’m a twenty-something Psychology student at Dalhousie University, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In my spare time, I design/develop websites, write songs, watch far too much television, and sometimes prepare food. I’m a devout gaytheist and I hate just about every form of seafood and math.

I honestly don’t really have a clear idea of what I’d like to do, once I leave school. Right now, I’m leaning toward becoming a heartless lawyer, because I like the idea of having at least ten television shows devoted explicitly to my exact profession, but my true dream would be to run my own television series. As I previously mentioned, I also enjoy songwriting. My music tends to gravitate toward the folk genre, but I’ve recently started experimenting with both country and punk, which has led to some interesting compositions.

I’m not entirely certain why I insist on keeping a blog. I’ll be honest, I tend to be a pretty poor blooger. I only write once or twice a month, on average, and I’m always promising new posts, designs, and puppies, all of which I know I can’t deliver. But every now and then, it is fun to both rant about and relive recent experiences. Other times, it’s less fun, but almost always just as rewarding.

I’m not quite convinced that this has been particularly informative, so I’m going to fill out one of those Facebook memes (a short one). At least then you’ll get some (completely random) tidbits of information about me.

If you’re being extremely quiet, what does it mean?
I’m either asleep or pissed off.

Last time you laughed?
I went out to breakfast with my friends Amanda and Katie, this morning. Many laughs were had!

Who do you feel most comfortable talking to about anything?
Katelyn Cameron, Lauren Graham, Matthew Haven

What are you listening to?
“Blazing Red” – Anne Heaton

Most important part of a relationship?
Plain old compatibility, I guess. A defecit of jerks would be welcome, too.

What’s something you really want right now?
The aforementioned deficit of jerks.

When and whose was the last girls clothes you wore?
I don’t know – I think Katelyn had me try on her shirt in the Yearbook Room, back in high school.

What did you do last night?
Amanda and I went downtown, stopped at Second Cup and Fujiyama. I then met up with Katie and Andrew at the Paragon, to see Julie Fader, Rae Spoon, and Wax Mannequin.

Who was the last person to IM you?
I believe that would be Katie.

What was the last thing to enter you mouth?
Blueberry pancakes from Satisfaction Feast!

What was the last book you read?
The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Though that was actually a little while ago.

You’re stuck on an island -  list three things you want with you:
Not counting the obvious choices, I’d say my guitar, a box of books, and someone worth cannibalizing, if need be.

Anything exciting happening in the next few months?

The most exciting things are the ones that I don’t know are coming.

Do you think there is just too much drama in high school?

Holy pasta, is there ever. Most of it comprised of lies. I once found out that I had been caught having intimate relations with my best friend Katelyn! Being gay, I found this highly amusing.

What kind of drunk are you?
I’m fairly mellow, when I’m drunk. I don’t drink terribly often and, when I do, it takes a fair amount of drinking to get me drunk, so it’s been a while.

Why are you the way you are?
Just the way the cards have been played.

Do you laugh at all the wrong times?
Yes. It’s a little worrying, actually.

What was the last thing you bought?
I bought new jeans, a belt, and a shirt on Friday. That was exciting! I do, however, need to restrain myself from buying a guitar at the Folklore Centre. It’s so pretty.

That was longer than I thought it would be.

Well, that’s as much as I think you need to know. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Though I will judge your lack of a life, if you do.
