Well, it would seem as if I’ve unloaded most of my dorm things into my room. The room itself just seems smaller somehow. I really hope it’s not, ’cause I think I brought even more this year. Maybe I’ll just have a construction team come in and move my wall over. Like in that episode of Arrested Development. My neighbor will just start wondering why their bed now seems to be blocking access to their desk and closet.
All in all, it went fairly painlessly. My car was full, as was my father’s truck. I have a lot of things. I think I had somewhere around eight Banker’s Boxes full of things, as well as a few bags. Kinda sad, really. But not in a way that would make me sad.
Went shopping for new sheets, this afternoon. Ended up with a set that I’m pretty happy about. It’s a similar set to last year, but with a bit more punch and a lot less stains. I’m determined to keep these ones nice and tidy, so that they may be used in the future.
Right now, I’m sitting in Starbucks, near the end of Spring Garden, killing time until Jonathan gets off Freshmen Torture Duty. Then we’ll do things that are fun and fancy-free. Unless we want some fun. I kinda want to see The House Bunny, because I’m oh-so-trashy. Hmm… I should check showtimes…
Ooh – it starts at 9:40! That could be perfect! Why do I want to see that movie? OK, so it essentially stars the inhabitants of the Playboy Mansion, from what I can tell. But that’s usually not enough to make me want to sit through a bad movie. I don’t know why – I just think it doesn’t look half bad. Whatever. No sense in questioning my hunches.
So, what to do for the rest of the weekend? I have some work for my Psych project that I could/should do. I wouldn’t mind maybe running into the bookstore on Sunday, to pick up my final books. I’m really hoping I didn’t forget my Neuroscience book at home, ’cause that would definitely be of the suck.
OK, enough rambling. I’m going to go read some biting Republican satire and then head back to Dal to meet Jon.

Oy – packing is not so much with the fun. Especially when I’m not nearly as organized as I was last year, and I can’t remember half of what I want to bring. I’m currently putting my DVDs into their books again, which is always a painful process.
After that, I’m going to start folding clothes and maybe just putting them into a trashbag. In which case, they really don’t need to be folded. Oy… so much crap to lug and I need to be at work at 6 AM, tomorrow morning.

Well, I’m back from my relaxing, fun trip to the cabin near Harvey Station. I’ve returned with a slightly swollen and progressively more painful right eye, a sprained toe, and a very small poison ivy rash. But I think it says something about the quality of the trip, when I’m still really happy about how everything went.
I don’t really think a complete recap is necessary – just know that fun was had. And much was eaten (and not eaten). I also turned 19, so I bought about $120 worth of liquor. And there was kayaking, swimming, and goose-feeding.
Right now, I’ve got a tiny bit of a headache, though, and I’m a little bit hungry. But I also feel very energized. But not in a physical way. More in a "that’s-what-I-want-from-now-on" type of thing. I’d like to be more active. I want to kayak more often. And I also discovered that I kinda like carrots and ranch dip. So I think maybe that’ll be a part of my lunch tomorrow.
Lunch: Nacho lasagna, carrots and broccoli with ranch dip. Well done, Ms. Graham and Ms. Green.
