What the fuck?

Well, I’m going to the Amsterdam Inn. Tonight actually. Aaron, Katelyn, and I are heading off to Fredericton to see the Australian Pink Floyd Show! Should be a lot of fun. I plan to bring to lighter be all in the moment.
I’ve also been spending the last few days acquiring some very important and expensive software. Unfortunately, it’s taking forever and has required about eight different restarts.
Leaving here in about an hour, for Fredericton. I’ll blog about the show, when I get back!

So Amazon.com finally put the Angel boxset back as a Gold Box Deal and I readily ordered two copies of it, as Christmas gifts. And what happens? Apparently, they're undeliverable. Shipping address is correct, but according to Amazon, labels can sometimes (though rarely) get smudged or torn. What's really annoying is that I placed these as two separate orders. So this rare occurrence happened to occur twice, within ten minutes? And all they are willing to do is refund the money, rather than simply shipping the items again. So, if I want to get those gifts, I would now have to pay twice the amount I paid, initially, since they are no longer on sale.
Fuck you, Amazon.

Alright, the image gallery is up and running! It was my first Lightbox gallery and it was a lot of fun to do (especially choosing the photos to include).
Up next will be the About page. Not quite sure when that will get done, though…

I'm not even going to apologize this time. You've heard it all before. Anyway, I'm back with a real blog post this time. I figured I should return, what with Jane Espenson leaving the blogging world (mostly) behind. So sad. While I'm going to miss her posts, I remember being somewhat frustrated at the lack of posts over the past few months. (Though, really, the lack of posts is completely understandable in her case. You try writing for Battlestar Galactica and running an instructional blog.) And that sort of drive me to write a new entry.
Alas, this post is not, in fact, the continuation of my last real entry. I'm not going to recap the last month and a half in this post. I'm just going to continue on, writing about what's currently going on. Too much happened in the last few months and I really don't have the energy or talent to deal with all within a reasonably sized post. If you know me well enough to be reading this blog, chances are you already know what happened and those of you that don't can figure it out through a quick investigation of my Facebok profile.
First off, I would like to say that the Second Cup vanilla bean latte tastes like horse shit. Seriously gross. Second, the apple cinnamon bun from Second Cup is much better than the vanilla bean latte would lead you to believe.
I'm currently in the Killam atrium, figuring out my plan of action for the day. I figured I'd start with a blog post, since it's probably the easiest to do. After that, I'll probably move on and do some work on the back-end of the site. I'd like to get an image gallery up and running and I'd like to do it with one of those fancy Javascript galleries. I also brought Interpreter of Maladies with me, which I've been meaning to read.
At some point, I should probably begin studying for my exam tomorrow night. I'm not terribly worried about it, though it is the class that, through genuinely random circumstance, I spent the least amount of time in, while also being my most important class. I'm almost certainly going to retake it, next fall. I'm sure I'll get the mark required for honours admission, but I'd like a grade that is more competitive and I know I can do really well in the course. In fact, I do really well in the course, as it is. I just happen to do really well in the course, while not paying appropriate attention to deadlines.
My other exams seem to have gone fairly well. I don't like finding out my marks, so I haven't checked yet and I doubt I will until sometime during the second term. But I was able to write a fair amount for my Learning exam, which was the one I was most worried about. Whether or not he was able to see through it completely or not is another, completely different, question.
I'll be heading back to Saint John very early on Friday, in hopes of avoiding the impending snow storm. Technically, I'm supposed to be heading back on Thursday, by 10:00 PM, but I doubt they'll be checking and I want to go see the student production of Les Miserables that the Neptune is putting on. Should be interesting, though I have to wonder what they'll be cutting from the show, in order to make it an appropriate length for student performance. As long as they have "On My Own," "A Little Fall of Rain," and the complete finale, I'll be happy. Somehow I doubt it will be as moving as the London production, but I'm still excited to see it.
In order to prevent death on the drive home, I'm having my tires and oil changed today, which I genuinely thought wouldn't take all day. Especially since the place opens at 7 AM and I was in there by 8 AM. (Keep in mind, too, that it's a general admission type of place.) My temper was tested this morning, however, when I discovered that somebody had drawn a swastika in the dirt on my car. I have to assume that this was a reaction to the not-so-subtle evolution bumper sticker that I just put on my car, since I've never had this problem in my parking garage before. The funny thing is that I was going to actually remove the bumper sticker this morning and put it on my fridge, instead. I'm generally not a fan of bumper stickers and really only put this one on my car because it was a gift from someone at a DAC event. But now I'm far too stubborn to let anyone think they persuaded me to remove it. Way to be counter-productive, guys.
Alright, well I think that was an adequate entry to the canon of the blog, right? I'm going to go off and code now. At least until my laptop dies, anyway. But it says I have another three hours remaining and who am I to question the infallible Neil Sr.?
I'll return soon. I promise.
